Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including monitoring vital signs and documenting changes in the resident chart.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments within scope of practice and facility policies.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and communicate needs and concerns to the nursing team.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions, implementing care plans under direction of the supervising nurse.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and ensure safety and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to optimize resident function and quality of life.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico.
- Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
- Local candidate to Santa Fe area; LOCAL ONLY assignment.
- 1+ year of experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred.
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift (3 shifts per week) and meet 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
- Must be able to pass standard onboarding requirements, including background checks and health screening.
