Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) travel assignment in a skilled nursing facility. Location: Butte, Montana, United States. Start date: 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, implementing plans of care.
- Administer therapeutic exercises, mobility training, gait training, transfer coaching, and activities of daily living (ADL) therapy within the resident care plan.
- Document patient responses, progress, and any changes in function in the medical record per facility and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor safety during therapy sessions, ensure proper device use, and uphold infection control and patient safety standards.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation team members; participate in care planning and interdisciplinary rounds.
- Communicate clearly with residents and families to support goal setting, adherence, and understanding of therapy goals and progress.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Montana or eligible to obtain licensure.
- Ability to work the Day shift on a 13-week travel assignment.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and documentation skills; ability to follow the established plan of care and work within a supervisory structure.
