Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient occupational therapy evaluation and treatment, with primary focus on OT services
- Oversee the clinical education and competency process for department staff, including direct supervision of COTAs and Rehabilitation Technicians
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and professional standards; maintain and update the OT policy and procedure manual (scope of care, evaluation/treatment standards, discharge planning, documentation)
- Lead program development efforts and perform administrative tasks as assigned, with a distribution of duties that includes clinical practice and leadership
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teammates to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate discharge planning
- Operate in accordance with State Practice Act and organizational policies
Requirements
- Active occupational therapy license or eligibility to practice in the applicable state
- Relevant clinical OT experience; leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting and manage a demanding workload
- Willingness to work 8-hour shifts and potentially every other Saturday
- Experience with program development, education, and compliance activities is desirable
