Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue to aid diagnosis
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, as assigned
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning; verify orders and documentation
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, privacy regulations, and infection control standards
- Maintain image quality, collate and process images, and document procedures and equipment usage
- Collaborate with radiologists and the broader imaging team to optimize workflow and patient throughput
Requirements
- CT technologist credential (ARRT-CT) or equivalent; eligible for certification as applicable
- Oregon licensure or eligibility to practice radiologic imaging in Oregon
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain promptly
- Education: graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Experience: CT imaging experience in a clinical setting preferred; able to work in a hospital imaging department with varied shift patterns
- Ability to perform CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy procedures and to adapt to a hospital environment
