Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in the cath lab according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with physicians, technologists, and other disciplines.
- Monitor patient status during procedures, assist with catheterization and interventional tasks, and ensure patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Communicate clearly with the care team, document care and procedures accurately, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Utilize critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making to support quality outcomes and patient advocacy.
- Collaborate to develop and implement individualized care plans, including post-procedure recovery and discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Cath lab/interventional nursing experience preferred (minimum 1 year if applicable)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work days, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week in a fast-paced cath lab environment
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
