SMH Level 4 RN Cardiac OR - Scrub/Circulate in a travel assignment focused on adult cardiac surgery. Location: Rochester, New York. Start date: 04/13/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,418 per week to $2,580 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 12-hour days (7a–7p). Setting: hospital operating room for complex cardiac procedures, with exposure to CABGs, TAVIs/TAVR, and advanced heart therapies.

Responsibilities
- Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases (e.g., CABG, TAVR/TAVI, Bentall, minimally invasive valve procedures) and various heart failure scenarios
- Manage intraoperative instrumentation, counts, sterility, and OR equipment to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with surgeons, perfusionists, anesthesia providers, and circulating staff as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Monitor the patient intraoperatively, respond to hemodynamic changes, and assist with implants, devices, or pumps as indicated
- Support transplant, LVAD/ECMO considerations when applicable and participate in a broad range of cardiac procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of perioperative care and uphold infection control and safety standards
Requirements
- Current NY RN license (active)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Two (2) years of operating room experience; level 1 trauma OR experience highly desired
- Ability to independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases
- Proficiency with sterile technique, instrument handling, and intraoperative patient monitoring
- Able to work 12-hour shifts and participate in a travel assignment; strong teamwork and communication skills
