Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine imaging procedures (including SPECT/CT, PET/CT when applicable) following established physician protocols.
- Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to safety, regulatory, and infection-control guidelines.
- Operate imaging equipment (gamma cameras, PET/CT, SPECT/CT) and conduct daily quality control, calibration, and routine maintenance as required.
- Assess patient history and prepare patients for procedures; provide clear pre- and post-procedure instructions to ensure comfort and cooperation.
- Document procedures accurately in NMIS, RIS, and HIS systems; ensure proper labeling, data entry, image storage, and privacy compliance.
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and nursing staff to optimize imaging workflow and patient care; uphold safety standards and radiation protection protocols.

Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License
- Current registration in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT NM) with at least one additional advanced certification: NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), ARRT(CT), or ARRT(MR)
- Education: Bachelor of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program, or an associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology with 2 years of experience by date of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or CPR current at hire
- Experience in Molecular/Nuclear Imaging preferred (SPECT/CT/PET/MR/Optical fusion Imaging)
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology; familiarity with NMIS, RIS, and HIS; ability to work effectively in a hospital imaging setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to instruct patients and collaborate with team members
