Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult ICU patients, adult ED patients, and general pediatric inpatients, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Manage ventilator therapy, airway clearance techniques, aerosol medications, and weaning protocols as appropriate; perform procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation.
- Monitor patient status, document findings, and adjust treatments in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; ensure patient safety and adherence to best practices.
- Perform documentation in the electronic health record (Epic) within the past two years; ensure completeness and accuracy of entries for all specialties involved.
- Maintain compliance with standard guidelines (AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS) and apply these competencies in daily care; participate in ongoing education as required.
- Coordinate with nursing, physicians, and other therapists; participate in unit-based workflows without on-call requirements and with weekend coverage as needed.

Requirements
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (NBRC) required; state licensure as applicable.
- Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS; NBRC Verification; NRP
- Experience: minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; prior travel experience preferred; teaching hospital experience required
- Inpatient experience focus: adult ICU, adult ED, and general pediatric units; NICU/PICU experience not required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
- Availability for weekend work; no block schedules; ability to work 3x12 Night shifts
- Reliable transportation required; public transportation is not accessible in the area
