Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas, United States. Start date: 08/02/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,973 to $2,175. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting. The ED is a 29-bed unit serving the southern portion of a major Johnson County area and functions as a chest pain and primary stroke center.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-quality nursing care to patients presenting to the ED, including adults and children as appropriate
- Perform triage, initial patient assessment, continuous monitoring, and rapid prioritization of care
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and assist with procedures as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, techs, and ancillary staff to coordinate efficient and safe patient care
- Document assessments, interventions, and dispositions; ensure thorough handoffs to receiving teams
- Admit, transfer, or discharge patients with appropriate plans while maintaining patient safety and family communication
Requirements
- Licensure: KS or Multi-State RN License
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS; NIHSS and Conscious Sedation Competency
- Additional certification: TNCC preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year ED experience within the last 12 months
- Other: Ability to work in a 12-hour ED shift environment; will not float out of the unit; weekend shifts required per pay period; On-call: None
