Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Provide intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for neonates experiencing life-threatening conditions in a Level III/IV NICU as defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, plans, interventions, and outcomes; communicate effectively with families and the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote patient safety and quality of care through vigilant observation and evidence-based practice.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California
- Neonatal ICU experience or demonstrated capability in neonatal critical care
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and adapt to a night-shift schedule
- Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and independent judgment
- Experience supervising or coordinating care across disciplines within a team
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment starting 06/29/2026
