Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to outpatient dialysis patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-treatment assessment and monitoring during hemodialysis.
- Manage vascular access care, monitor fistulas and grafts, and respond to dialysis-related complications or adverse events.
- Monitor patient vitals, fluid balance, electrolytes, and weight changes; administer medications as ordered and document responses.
- Set up and operate dialysis equipment, follow infection control and sterile technique protocols, and ensure patient safety throughout treatment.
- Document care in the electronic health record (EPIC) with accurate and timely updates; coordinate with nephrology, dialysis technicians, and the broader care team.
- Float to additional units within the region as needed; Saturday duties may be required.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Vermont (or eligibility per state requirements)
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience; minimum 1 year outpatient dialysis experience
- EPIC electronic health record experience within the past 2 years
- Willingness to float to nearby units; ability to work a flexible schedule and Saturdays as required
- Reliable transportation; public transportation not readily available in the area
- Education: graduate of an accredited RN program; current RN licensure
