Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment in Janesville, Wisconsin. Start date 04/20/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,809–$1,937. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM). Work setting: inpatient medical-surgical care in a healthcare setting. This assignment requires every other weekend and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate treatment plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved techniques, policies, standards of care, and state practice acts; document accurately and timely.
- Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans in coordination with physicians and hospital policy; provide patient and family instruction to support ongoing care post-discharge.
- Monitor patient status for safety and experience; identify and escalate concerns through the appropriate chain of command; participate in department performance improvement activities.
- Support care continuity by sharing clinical expertise across units as needed; may float to other units to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care and unit needs.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN license; CPR/BLS certification; Flu vaccination required
- Education verification required; ability to provide proof of education as part of compliance
- Experience: experienced Med Surg RN preferred; prior med-surg clinical background
- Ability to work in an inpatient medical-surgical setting and, as needed, float to other units
- Demonstrated ability to perform nursing duties within scope of practice and maintain patient safety and quality of care
