Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Travel) position in Gardner, Massachusetts. Start date 05/26/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Pay range $1,966–$2,025 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shift is 36 hours per week (3x12-hour days), 7:00 am–7:30 pm, with every other weekend and holiday. This is a hospital-based travel opportunity with temporary assignment status.

Responsibilities
- Provide patient care based on standards of care, protocols, and policies; treat each patient with dignity and respect
- Deliver patient and family education tailored to learning needs and readiness
- Collaborate on discharge planning, incorporating support systems as needed
- Delegate and supervise nursing interventions appropriately; prioritize patient care and seek resources as necessary
- Document thoroughly and timely, capturing data, interventions, and responses
- Communicate patient status during rounds and with the health care team to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in pain assessment and management; monitor effectiveness and adjust as directed
- Monitor telemetry where applicable, interpret rhythm changes, and initiate physician-directed actions
- Manage life-threatening situations and respond to chest pain or cardiac symptoms per orders
- Support the surgical patient through perioperative care, including equipment setup and troubleshooting
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- MOAB class required within 60 days of hire
- Minimum education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum work experience: 1 year Med-Surg experience preferred; telemetry experience preferred
- Certifications: ACLS upon hire or active BLS with ACLS to be obtained within 60 days of hire
- Ability to work in a hospital-based Med-Surg setting and in the described shift pattern
