Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based care for adult ICU patients, including those with respiratory failure, ESRD, CHF, septic shock, and cardiac arrest
- Monitor patient status, interpret hemodynamics, and adjust care within approved protocols
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders; monitor responses and adverse effects
- Respond to emergencies, participate in codes and rapid responses, and coordinate with the care team
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic EMR with accurate, timely charting
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other disciplines; participate in rounds and care planning
- Float to other ICU floors or sister campuses as required; adhere to unit-specific protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license required (Florida); ability to practice per state requirements
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ICU setting and to float as needed
- Degree accreditation must be on profile; ensure all demographic information is loaded (address, email, full DOB, full SS, RN license number) at submission
