Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult patients on the Med/Surg Tele unit
- Monitor patient status, perform timely assessments, and document in EPIC
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; ensure safe patient care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in care planning and discharge planning
- Float to related units as needed and support charge responsibilities; participate in weekend and holiday coverage
- Maintain clinical and documentation accuracy, adhere to hospital policies and infection control standards
Requirements
- Active New York Registered Nurse license
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- 2 years of acute hospital nursing experience, with 1 recent year in Med/Surg or Telemetry
- 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates
- Demonstrated ability to work nights, float to other units, and use EPIC charting
- Flexibility to meet the facility’s scheduling needs and to work holidays as required
