Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic and clinical speech-language pathology services for inpatients and outpatients across the lifespan (infant through geriatric) with speech, language, cognitive, voice, fluency, and swallowing concerns.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia; develop and implement individualized treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust goals as needed.
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in treatment planning, and support discharge planning and education for patients and families.
- Document evaluation and treatment results in patient records per regulatory and facility standards; ensure compliance with licensure and facility policies.
- May be required to float between inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services based on patient needs.
- Engage in quality improvement activities and maintain current professional competencies through ongoing education.
Requirements
- Oklahoma State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure in Oklahoma.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience (required).
- Experience with neurogenic patients and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders preferred.
- Recent travel experience preferred.
- BLS certification (AHA) required; ACLS and NIH certifications preferred.
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current licensure to practice in Oklahoma or eligibility for licensure.
