Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) – L&D travel assignment in Templeton, California. Start date: 11/09/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,667 to $2,864 per week; guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including emergencies and circulating for C-Sections
- Perform comprehensive physical and psychosocial assessments and initiate a multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plan
- Demonstrate clinical judgment in managing perinatal emergencies (crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia)
- Monitor fetal and maternal status, assess amniotic fluid condition and vaginal bleeding, and respond to abnormalities
- Manage pain control during labor and assist with epidural catheter placement; monitor status during and after medication administration
- Educate patients and families across perinatal and postpartum periods and document care accurately and timely
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring required
- Additional: EPIC experience required; GE Centricity and/or Keriton charting experience preferred
- Unit specifics: LDRP model; Baby Friendly Level 1 newborn nursery; no NICU on site; strong capability in maternal and neonatal stabilization
- Scheduling: Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with 48 guaranteed hours per week; no on-call required
