Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on the Med Surg Tele unit, including assessment, planning, and implementation of nursing care.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and IV therapies, and respond to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education.
- Document clinical care and patient responses accurately in the EPIC EMR system.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, enforce infection control practices, and support fall prevention measures.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg Tele or related acute care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to work evenings (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) with weekend and holiday coverage
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the assignment location; local travelers within 50 miles will not be considered
