Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat adult patients to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and functional mobility skills.
- Develop and implement individualized OT treatment plans; adjust goals based on patient progress.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in accordance with professional standards.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support client safety, independence, and quality of life.
- Provide patient and caregiver education on therapeutic activities, ADLs, mobility, and safety strategies.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and compliance with licensing and facility policies throughout treatment sessions.
Requirements
- Active Colorado Occupational Therapy license and NBCOT certification.
- Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Experience: 1–3 years of OT experience preferred; 1 year of experience with elderly and frail populations required.
- Ability to work in an outpatient urgent care setting; comfort with fast-paced, episodic care.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; valid auto insurance maintained during employment.
- Ability to document and communicate effectively with the care team and patients.
