- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; participate in care planning and revisions as clinical needs evolve.
- Monitor vital signs, document findings, and escalate changes in condition to the supervising team promptly.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, including supervising or directing licensed practical nurse and nursing assistant staff.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records; ensure compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
- Respond to emergent situations, implement urgent care procedures within scope of practice, and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Iowa
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing settings preferred
- Availability to work the 06:00 AM–06:00 PM shift
- Ability to fulfill a travel temporary assignment and work in a nursing home environment
- Ability to meet licensure and credentialing requirements for the assignment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
