Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients undergoing invasive interventional procedures, including preparation, medication administration, and sterile technique.
- Serve as circulating nurse, scrub role, and monitor as assigned; prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies; anticipate physician needs during procedures.
- Monitor patient status during procedures; recognize and respond rapidly to complications such as arrhythmias, bleeding, contrast reactions, stroke alerts, or cardiac arrest.
- Manage contrast administration and allergy considerations; collaborate with radiology physicians and technologists; participate in pre-procedure discussions regarding contrast agents.
- Perform moderate sedation monitoring per protocol when assigned, verify ASA classification, and coordinate with anesthesia for higher-risk cases.
- Support peri-procedural workflow, including patient identification, timeouts, vascular access management, post-procedure room turnover, and documentation of medications, supplies, and devices.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the State of Oregon
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in critical care, emergency, cath lab, or interventional radiology; 3+ years in IR/cath lab preferred; conscious sedation training and monitor role experience desired
- Certifications: RCIS, NIH Stroke Scale, or IV certification preferred; additional certifications relevant to the specialty are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work in an interventional radiology/cath lab environment; on-call availability may be required
