Travel Registered Nurse Radiology Job
Registered Nurse – Radiology position available in Rochester, New York. This travel assignment starts on 07/06/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,659 to $2,794. Shifts are 10 hours, on a 4x10 rotating schedule that includes holidays and weekends, with on-call/callback as needed. The role is within a fast-paced interventional radiology service in a level 1 Trauma center, serving inpatient and outpatient populations across the lifespan. Nurses collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to pre-procedural prep, post-procedural recovery, and overnight observation for IR patients. This assignment involves care for patients undergoing CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray and ultrasound procedures, with telemetry integration.

Responsibilities
- Provide pre-procedural assessment and patient preparation for interventional radiology procedures
- Monitor and support patients in post-procedural recovery and overnight observation, including telemetry
- Assist IR team during procedures and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate critical thinking and communication
- Deliver GI postprocedural care as needed and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for safe patient transitions
- Document assessments, vitals, medications, and care plans; ensure accurate charting and handoffs
- Maintain infection control, equipment readiness, and patient safety throughout the shift; adapt to rotating schedule demands
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology nursing experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced interventional radiology/diagnostic imaging environment
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
