Registered Nurse – Postpartum, Milan, New Mexico. Start date: 07/15/2026. Duration: approximately 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,405–$2,600 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough postpartum assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for mothers and newborns.
- Deliver direct patient care across the postpartum period, promoting safe outcomes and evidence-based practices.
- Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, breastfeeding, and transitions of care.
- Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel; maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team to optimize patient outcomes; participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Float to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training; perform additional duties to support hospital operations and patient needs.
Requirements
- Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent)
- ADN required; BSN preferred
- Department-specific qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required; OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months; SAFER NM Technician certification preferred
- Skilled in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment
- Ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric); strong interpersonal and critical-thinking skills
- Eligibility to work in a hospital setting and capacity to float to related departments as needed
