Registered Nurse — Med Surg (Travel) in Atlanta, GA, US. Start date 08/02/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,541–$1,609 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 2x3 nights. Responsibilities
- Provide direct bedside care to high-acuity surgical trauma patients, including those with gunshot injuries and paraplegia-related needs, on a patient census that may average around a 5:1 ratio.
- Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, monitor clinical responses, and manage IV therapies as prescribed.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation, patient handoffs, and care coordination with ED and admitting units.
- Collaborate with phlebotomy and on-unit support staff (unit secretary at night) to ensure timely completion of tasks and accurate handoffs.
- Monitor for changes in condition, respond to emergencies, and communicate changes to the multi-disciplinary team to support timely interventions.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and documentation standards; participate in shift handoffs and care planning discussions.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (in good standing)
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a high-acuity surgical trauma or similar specialty
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Ability to work 2x3 night shift pattern and to function in a hospital-based setting
- No planned time off during the assignment (no RTO)
