Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult and diverse ER patients, including rapid assessment and triage
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, and intervene as appropriate
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments per physician orders
- Document care, assessments, and interventions in the Cerner electronic medical record
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, expedite patient throughput, and support safe discharge planning
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Minimum 3 years ER/acute care experience in the submitted unit within the last 3 months
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS and PALS required
- CPI or TEAM de‑escalation training required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required
- BSN preferred
