Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment to produce clear, accurate X-ray images of breast tissue
- Position patients and apply breast compression for optimal image quality
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort throughout
- Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff
- Evaluate mammogram images for quality; perform retakes as needed to achieve diagnostic quality
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation; stay current with best practices
Requirements
- ARRT registered
- Mammography license or certification required
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field preferred
- Minimum of one year of mammography experience is ideal
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a small team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to relocate to Moab, Utah if living outside the area
