Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients under the supervision of unit leadership, in accordance with the State of Maine Board of Nursing standards and established policies.
- Perform comprehensive nurse assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changing patient conditions; utilize telemetry when indicated.
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders and facility protocols; document administration and patient response.
- Collaborate with the charge nurse, physicians, and interprofessional team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; ensure patient safety and infection control practices.
- Document care, treatment plans, and patient education in the electronic medical records; provide discharge teaching and caregiver instructions as appropriate.
- Ensure respectful communication with patients and families; participate in ongoing quality and performance improvement activities as assigned.

Requirements
- Active Maine RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications required within 30 days of hire
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred (education)
- MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills

- Certifications: BLS and ACLS within 30 days of hire; MOAB or CPI preferred but not required
