Travel Registered Nurse Infusion Job
Registered Nurse – Infusion travel assignment in Sitka, AK. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $3,370–$3,667 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift options: four consecutive 8-hour days (Mon–Thu), either 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (no lunch) or 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. with a 30-minute lunch. Work in an acute care infusion setting providing comprehensive nursing care to infusion patients as part of a multidisciplinary team. Credentialing requirements include Alaska licensure, a current BLS and ACLS, and fingerprint processing; start date will be no sooner than six weeks after fingerprints are received and processed. Applicants must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location per traveler policy. No housing or flight allowances are provided.

Responsibilities
- Administer infusion therapies, including specialty IV fluids and immunotherapies, per physician orders; monitor patients for adverse reactions and manage IV access devices (PICCs, CVCs) per policy.
- Coordinate referrals, tests, and treatments across the care team; document all findings and interactions in the patient chart.
- Oversee infusion patient scheduling, test results posting, and communication with referring providers to support continuity of care.
- Provide direct patient care, including ongoing assessment, vital signs monitoring, and timely escalation of events; ensure safety, infection control, and a therapeutic environment.
- Educate patients and families about infusion procedures, post-discharge care, and disease management; participate in care plan meetings and multidisciplinary rounds.
- Support clinic workflow by supervising or guiding staff as needed to optimize patient flow and resource use; participate in quality improvement activities and ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Current full, unrestricted RN license in Alaska or active licensure eligible status; Direct Hire must have applied for Alaska license before start date; agency staff must hold an active Alaska license.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; prior immunotherapy/chemotherapy specialty experience preferred.
- Experience with IV therapy, infusion pumps, central line management, and infusion-related patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; nursing education leading to RN licensure in Alaska.
- Flu vaccine on file; ability to obtain required fingerprinting and complete credentialing within the specified timeline.
- Ability to work in an infusion care setting, manage multiple patients, and use electronic health records and related systems.
