Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, anticipating instrument needs and maintaining a sterile field
- Hand instruments and supplies to the surgeon and nurses; count sponges, sharps, and instruments before and after procedures
- Prepare operating rooms, arrange and drape patients, and assist with positioning as needed
- Maintain equipment sterility and readiness of supplies; assist with turnover between cases
- Support team with documentation and adherence to safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
- 2+ years CSFA experience (required)
- NBSTSA or NCCT certification required (interchangeable)
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Ortho, General, Endo-Vascular, Urgo, OB experience preferred
- Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required
- Ability to work in a hospital travel setting and adapt to assigned schedules
