Position: Registered Nurse – Oncology. Location: Olympia, Washington, United States. Start Date: 07/28/2026. Duration: several weeks. Weekly pay: $1,638 - $1,762 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: travel - temporary assignment in a hospital-based Med/Surg/Oncology unit (3rd Floor Tower). This role supports adult oncology and medical-telemetry patients on a 26-bed unit with central monitoring. The unit combines oncology care with telemetry, isolation precautions, and interdisciplinary support.

- Unit: 26-bed Med/Surg/Oncology with telemetry and CMU
- Orientation: 24 hours; pre-start modules (~16 hours, non-billable)
- Weekend coverage required (4 weekends per month or every other weekend)
- Floating within pod as needed
- RTO must be requested in submittal

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care for adult oncology and medical-telemetry patients on the 3rd Floor Tower unit
- Administer medications, monitor vitals, manage IVs, oxygen, and non-invasive airway support; operate telemetry and monitor CMU alarms
- Recognize clinical changes and respond promptly; participate in rapid response and code events as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV teams, PT, RT, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, interpreter services, transport, unit secretary)
- Implement infection prevention, isolation, and PPE protocols; ensure safe patient positioning and mobility
- Document accurately and timely in the electronic charting system (EPIC)

Requirements
- Active registered nurse license; pending licenses not accepted
- Certifications: BLS required; Oncology certification (OCN) preferred
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; oncology experience required; first-timers accepted; 3rd-year Med/Surg experienced preferred
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; current licensure to practice as an RN
- Ability to work on a Med/Surg Oncology unit with telemetry; willing to float within the pod and cover weekends
