Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy assistant services under the supervision of a PT, including execution of treatment plans and progress documentation.
- Support a caseload with a mix of 60–70% outpatient and 30–40% inpatient (swing bed and home health) needs.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, and modalities per the plan of care; monitor responses and report changes to the supervising PT.
- Document care in the electronic health record with timely, accurate notes and data entry.
- Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated, safe patient care.
- Maintain CPR certification and follow safety and infection control guidelines; Spanish language skills are a plus.
Requirements
- Current LPTA license (active, in good standing) as applicable
- CPR certification
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Proficient with electronic health records and basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a hospital-based travel assignment and support outpatient and inpatient settings
- Spanish language skills are a plus
