Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Travel) in Utica, NY starting 05/26/2026 for 13 weeks. Earn $2,164 to $2,283 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift pattern: 2x3 Days in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to adult Med Surg patients, including post-surgical cases
- Assess patient needs, develop care plans, implement interventions, and evaluate response to treatment
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and nursing procedures per physician orders
- Monitor vital signs, monitor patient progress, manage wounds/drains, and respond to changes in condition
- Document care and assessments in the EPIC EMR; ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse colleagues, case management, and ancillary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and post-discharge care
- Float to other units as required by assignment and unit needs
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS verification with all active RN licenses
- 2+ years of Med Surg experience; travel experience required
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- EMR experience with EPIC
- Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission
- Ability to work in a Med Surg unit with adult patient population and to float as needed
- Local candidates within 75 miles may qualify for local rate
