Travel Registered Nurse DON Job
Interim Director of Nursing - Long Term Care. This travel leadership role is for a licensed 35-bed long-term care facility in Plentywood, Montana. The assignment starts on 04/02/2026 and runs for 16 weeks, with 40 guaranteed hours per week on days. Weekly pay ranges from $1,174 to $1,241. Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day leadership of the nursing department, ensuring high-quality resident care and safety.
- Monitor regulatory compliance with state and federal requirements for long-term care and prepare for surveys as needed.
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, and resource allocation to meet care standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and administrative leadership to support care plans, quality improvement initiatives, and family communication.
- Assess and improve clinical governance, incident reporting, and documentation accuracy across nursing services.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse (RN) license; Montana licensure or eligibility for licensure as required for this assignment.
- Prior leadership experience in long-term care or as a Director of Nursing (DON) role preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations, including quality improvement and survey readiness.
- Strong communication, organizational, and team-leadership skills; ability to engage multidisciplinary staff and families.
- Ability to function effectively in a licensed long-term care setting with day-shift responsibilities.
