Registered Nurse – PCU in San Luis Obispo, California. Start date: 09/14/2026. Travel temporary assignment lasting 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,045-$2,107 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts. Setting: hospital step-down unit where skilled cardiovascular and post-acute care are provided.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care to patients in the step-down unit, coordinating ongoing treatment and monitoring patient status.
- Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening emergencies in patient populations served.
- Administer medications and therapies per physician orders, monitor for adverse effects, and adjust care as needed.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional team to implement and update individualized patient care plans.
- Supervise and delegate appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel (e.g., CNAs) consistent with their scope of practice.
- Maintain high standards of safety, infection control, and quality in a fast-paced hospital setting; document care accurately and communicate changes to the care team.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California or eligibility to practice in California.
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a step-down/telemetry or critical care setting.
- Strong ECG rhythm interpretation skills and ability to respond to clinical changes rapidly.
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift on a 3x12 schedule.
- Education: ADN or BSN in Nursing (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills; ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and within an interdisciplinary team.
