Registered Nurse – Charge Acute Care, San Luis Obispo, CA. Travel assignment in a short-term acute care setting beginning 09/14/2026 for 13 weeks. Guaranteed 36 hours per week with a night shift of 3 × 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). Weekly pay ranges from $2,464 to $2,568. Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership and supervision of nursing and ancillary staff, using professional judgment and collaboration with leadership.
- Partner with the Nurse Manager/Director, physicians, and care teams to plan, coordinate, and revise individualized care plans.
- Direct and monitor patient care activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes; participate in patient care as needed.
- Conduct rounds to assess patient needs, engage with patients and families, and identify opportunities to improve satisfaction and outcomes.
- Promote patient- and family-centered care, with attention to cultural diversity and individual preferences.
- Identify opportunities to improve care processes and coordinate with the health team to implement changes.

Requirements
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master’s Degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory/charge role (charge nurse experience required)
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS; ACLS; NRP; Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) required
- Special requirements: AHA- or ARC-certified BLS/ACLS/NRP; EPIC electronic medical record experience
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced, hospital short-term acute care setting; no on-call duties
