Overview
Registered Nurse – PCU in Pocatello, Idaho. Travel assignment in a 24-bed Progressive Care / Telemetry unit starting 09/21/2026 for Weeks. Night shift on a 4x12 schedule (3x12 option may apply). Weekly pay $1,838–$1,927. No guaranteed hours. This assignment is in a care setting that supports adults and geriatrics with stroke, cardiac, and medical-surgical acuity, including capabilities for comprehensive stroke care, Level II trauma, and chest pain management with PCI/open-heart surgery patients. 50-mile radius rule applies—no local candidates. First-time travel RNs accepted. Orientation is 24 hours; onboarding core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Pre-approved time off is allowed (up to 2 shifts). Block scheduling with weekend coverage required (typical contract includes 6 weekend shifts). All required licenses/certifications must be in hand at submittal.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adults and geriatrics in a PCU/Telemetry environment, including monitoring and interpreting telemetry.
- Administer medications and manage cardiac/vasoactive infusions (no titration required per unit practice).
- Maintain central and peripheral line care and administer blood products as needed.
- Provide non-invasive airway support (BIPAP/CPAP) and perform frequent patient assessments.
- Collaborate with IV team, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, social work, pharmacy, and rapid response/code teams; participate in rapid response events as needed.
- Support stroke and cardiac pathways, including emergent procedures such as cardioversion when indicated.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho or a compact state, in hand at time of submittal
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year RN experience; unit accepts first-time travel RNs
- Demonstrated telemetry/PCU monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Ability to work nights on a 4x12 (or 3x12) block schedule; comfortable with 1:3–1:4 patient ratios in a 24-bed unit
