Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 23-week assignment in Penn Yan, NY. This role is ideal for a dedicated long-term care professional who thrives in high-quality resident care, maintains schedule flexibility, and values work consistency with guaranteed weekly hours.
Job Requirements
Certification: Active New York State (NYS) Nursing Assistant Certification required.
Basic Life Support: Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or RQI only).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a licensed CNA in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting according to individualized care plans.
Safety & Monitoring: Promptly respond to call lights, utilize safe patient-handling equipment, maintain fall-prevention protocols, and monitor resident safety.
Nutritional Support: Deliver meal trays, assist with feeding, and ensure resident dietary preferences and needs are met.
Mobility Support: Provide transfer, positioning, range-of-motion, and ambulation assistance to support rehabilitation and comfort goals.
Vitals & Documentation: Accurately measure and record vital signs (BP, pulse, respiration, temperature) and report any physical or behavioral status changes directly to the supervising nurse.
Workplace Compliance
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, blood, and tissues is reasonably anticipated during standard caregiving duties. Standard precautions and safe work procedures are enforced.
