Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (LDRP) travel assignment in Roswell, New Mexico, starting 09/28/2026 for a weeks-long engagement. Weekly pay ranges from $2,621 to $2,861. Shift is Nights, 4x12. Employment type is Travel - Temporary Assignment with no guaranteed hours. Unit focuses on Labor & Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum and couplet/mother–newborn care in a hospital setting. First-time travelers accepted; pre-approved time off available per contract. On-site orientation modules are required.

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for laboring patients and newborns in a couplet care model (mother and baby), including triage, labor support, vaginal deliveries, and C-section recovery
- Perform newborn assessment, thermoregulation support, and room-in/couplet care; assist with breastfeeding/lactation support as part of early parent education
- Monitor maternal-fetal status, administer medications, and assist with procedures related to obstetric care; manage patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy) and participate in Rapid Response as needed
- Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 3:1 across shifts; float to like units within scope as needed
- Document care in the designated electronic charting system (Epic); participate in unit rounding and provide patient/family education
- Scheduling: Nights only; every other weekend required; 12 weekend shifts per contract; pre-approved time off limited to 1 period per contract

Requirements
- License: Current RN license; NM license or NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
- Certifications: BLS and NRP required; STABLE listed
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in labor & delivery/couplet care; prior charge experience preferred; travel experience not required
- Setting: Ability to work in an LDRP unit with neonates; 11 beds/11 rooms; typical care includes laboring patients, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, newborn care
- Other: Epic charting experience required; unit requires on-site orientation; non-local candidates only (locals within 50 miles not accepted)
