Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement patient care in the ICU for the appropriate age population served on the unit.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe care consistent with the unit’s standards of care.
- Collaborate with physicians, other nurses, and interdisciplinary team members, while communicating effectively with patients and families.
- Monitor patient status, perform clinical assessments, administer medications and therapies per protocol, and document care accurately.
- Contribute to unit performance by adhering to safety, infection control, and quality improvement practices; participate in rounds and care planning.
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing systems and processes while maintaining professional behavior and respect for staff, patients, and families.

Requirements
- Active RN license appropriate for practice in the state of California (or eligible for licensure in California)
- ICU or critical care experience preferred; strong candidates with recent relevant ICU exposure may be considered
- Ability to perform 12-hour day shifts in a high-acuity ICU environment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities; commitment to patient- and family-centered care
- Compliance with unit and organizational policies, safety standards, and credentialing processes
