Responsibilities
- Provide scrub and support for electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker/ICD/Micra placements and complex ablations (Afib, AFlutter, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC)
- Assist with other EP interventions such as Watchman device procedures and laser lead extractions as directed
- Support the EP care team with device checks, stimulations, and mapping as applicable; ensure sterile technique and patient safety
- Prepare instruments, manage the EP lab environment, operate recording equipment, and document case details in the EPIC system
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members; assist with room turnover and equipment readiness
- Confirm nicotine-free facility expectations and adhere to all infection control and safety protocols
Requirements
- Active ARRT or RCIS or RCES certification/licensure
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of EP experience; hands-on experience with pacemakers (PPM, ICD, Micra), ablations, Watchman devices, laser lead extractions, and related EP procedures
- Preferred: 2 years Cath/IR and EP experience; open to RNs with Cath/IR/EP scrub background
- Ability to work in a fast-paced EP lab environment; schedule typically 7:00 am–5:30 pm, with potential late stay to complete cases
- Credentialing requirements: CBC, DS, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance
- Nicotine-free facility requirement
