Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including triage, initial assessment, monitoring, and stabilization of patients
- Administer medications, perform basic procedures, and escalate care as needed in collaboration with the medical team
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic health record
- Monitor patient status and participate in rapid reassessment and disposition planning
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure patient flow, safety, and timely care
- Promote patient and family education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Graduation from an approved nursing program
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts in an ER setting
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with assignment terms
