Registered Nurse – ICU (Travel - Temporary Assignment) in Utica, New York. This travel assignment with Healthforce Healthcare LLC starts on 09/21/2026 for approximately 16 contract weeks in a hospital ICU setting. Shifts are nights (12-hour blocks) on a 2x3 schedule with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay ranges from $2,326 to $2,452. The role requires active New York RN licensure with Nursys verification, travel experience, and ICU expertise. EMR familiarity (EPIC) is expected, and a commitment to high-acuity care in a Neuro/Med and CV surgery-focused ICU is essential.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU, including neuro, medical, trauma, and post-op cardiovascular patients.
- Monitor and interpret ICU telemetry, ventilator status, hemodynamics, and invasive lines; manage CRRT and Prismaflex as required.
- Administer medications, evaluate responses, adjust plans per physician orders, and implement protocols for sepsis, stroke, respiratory failure, and post-surgical care.
- Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, and allied health professionals; participate in rounds and care coordination; ensure accurate handoffs using EPIC.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, including neuro checks, pain and sedation management, infection control, and rapid response to emergent events.
- Float to other ICU units as needed (to all units except Behavioral and ER unless holding); adapt to unit-specific protocols and equipment.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, document thoroughly, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification; all active RN licenses must be in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience; 4–5 years ICU experience preferred.
- Travel experience required.
- Current AHA ACLS and BLS; NIHSS certification.
- EMR experience required, specifically EPIC.
- Driver’s license with a current address that matches demographics.
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment; willingness to float as needed; RTO requests must be included at submission.
