Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images used for diagnosis.
- Perform CT imaging and a range of procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Position patients, select appropriate imaging protocols, and optimize image quality while prioritizing patient safety.
- Verify orders and patient identity, review contraindications, and ensure proper documentation of procedures.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles; monitor equipment performance and participate in routine quality checks.
- Collaborate with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure clinically useful studies and timely communication of results.
Requirements
- Ability to operate CT equipment and perform adjunct imaging procedures such as general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Comfort working in a high-demand imaging environment on a night-shift schedule.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with clinicians and radiologists.
- Eligibility to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to a new care setting.
