Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Simi Valley, CA. Start date: 09/14/2026 for a 13-week contract with a weekly pay range of $2,172 to $2,245. No guaranteed weekly hours. Shift: 3x12 nights. Setting: hospital-based ED with a total bed count of 120; ED unit includes 18 rooms, 5 alcoves, and 3 hallways. The assignment is with Healthforce Healthcare LLC. This role supports a dynamic ED environment with 24/7 hospital services and a PICC team, ultrasound-guided IV capability, and dedicated on-unit phlebotomy.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to ED patients, including initial assessment, triage, stabilization, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and manage IV therapy, leveraging the Pyxis medication system
- Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions and assist with higher-acuity procedures as needed
- Support ED procedures such as central lines, procedural sedations, TEE, bronchoscopies, bubble studies, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, and blood patches
- Document in the Cerner and LaunchPoint EMR systems; ensure accurate, timely charting
- Coordinate with the ED PICC team, phlebotomy staff, unit secretary, and hospitalists; collaborate with transport when required
- Maintain patient and family education, ensure safety and infection control, and participate in shift handoffs

Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- ER nursing experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Cerner and LaunchPoint) or similar electronic documentation
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (3x12) and handle high-stress, fast-paced scenarios
- Ability to perform ED procedures listed in responsibilities and maintain patient safety
- No floating to other units required; weekend coverage on a set rotation (every 3rd weekend)
