Responsibilities
- Perform CT imaging studies according to physician orders, selecting appropriate protocols and adjusting parameters to optimize image quality while ensuring patient safety.
- Position and align patients, explain procedures, and monitor for comfort and safety throughout the exam; monitor for adverse reactions and follow established contrast protocols as trained.
- Operate CT scanners (including units such as GE Lightspeed and Canon SP Prime) and manage movement of patients and equipment within the imaging suite.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the Cerner EMR; ensure images are properly labeled, archived, and transmitted to the PACS as needed.
- Support Interventional Radiology by assisting with CT-guided procedures during daytime shifts, coordinating with the team to ensure procedural efficiency and patient safety.
- Adhere to radiation safety practices, verify shielding and dose optimization, and maintain equipment readiness and cleanliness.

Requirements
- Current radiologic technologist licensure as required by the state of California (or eligibility)
- CT certification or eligibility (ARRT CT) or equivalent credentials
- CT imaging experience; familiarity with CT protocols and image optimization
- Ability to work a 40-hour week in a travel assignment with varied shifts
- Proficiency with the Cerner EMR is advantageous
- Effective communication and teamwork in a hospital imaging environment
