Overview
Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care – Sitka, Alaska. This travel - temporary assignment is an outpatient rehabilitation services role with a primary focus on general SLP evaluations and treatments for adults and pediatric patients. Scope includes outpatient settings with potential travel to remote locations. Start date 09/14/2026 for a 13-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week and a 4x10-hour shift pattern. Alaska licensure required at submission and CCC-SLP certification is expected.

Responsibilities
- Conduct SLP assessments and evaluations, identify therapy diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Implement, supervise, and adjust therapy plans of care based on patient response to optimize outcomes.
- Document findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and recommendations in the patient record; communicate with physicians, nurses, and the rehabilitation team.
- Provide patient and family education, and develop home exercise programs to support therapy goals and independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to arrange equipment, discharge planning, and continuity of care; supervise students or interns as assigned.
- Deliver services in a variety of settings as needed, including potential travel to remote locations by boat or plane, and adhere to applicable regulatory and professional guidelines.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- CCC-SLP credential
- Alaska state license in Speech-Language Pathology at time of submittal
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric outpatient experience
- Ability to work in outpatient rehabilitation settings
- Flu vaccine required
