Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation
- Perform a variety of imaging procedures as needed, including CT, general radiography and fluoroscopy
- Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location
- Maintain accurate records, files and billing information; ensure HIPAA and patient confidentiality
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of imaging equipment and manage supply inventory
- Collaborate across modalities (CT, X-ray, OR) and assist in all as needed to support patient care
Requirements
- California Radiologic Technologist license (RT) required; ARRT registration RT(R)(CT) or RT(R) in radiography and CT required
- Advanced CT certification: required in some states; in California preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Fluoroscopy license required in California if operating fluoroscopy equipment
- Venipuncture certification required if administering contrast materials
- Minimum two years of recent radiology/CT experience
- EPIC experience required
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital environment and accommodate travel as part of a temporary assignment
