Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, providing clinical guidance and supervision as needed.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines, utilizing critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to optimize patient outcomes.
- Assess patient needs, document findings, administer medications within scope, and monitor patient status to ensure safety and quality of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team; advocate for patient preferences and goals of care.
- Contribute to continuity of care through collaboration with prescribing clinicians, therapists, and support services, while adhering to policies and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Current, valid Registered Nurse license in California.
- Nursing degree (ADN or BSN) from an accredited program.
- Ability to practice in an outpatient care setting with adherence to relevant standards and protocols.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate care activities.
- Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and professional standards.
