Responsibilities
- Provide unit-based leadership, collaborating with the Nurse Manager, Director, physicians, and staff.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing and ancillary personnel using professional judgment and supervisory discretion.
- Ensure patients receive safe, cost-effective, high-quality care with positive outcomes and high patient satisfaction.
- Promote and monitor patient safety, assess the patient experience, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate care delivery on the unit, balancing staffing needs with patient acuity and priority tasks.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California.
- ER nursing experience with demonstrated leadership or charge-nurse capabilities preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple levels of staff in a high-acuity ER setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Eligible to work the listed shift schedule (night, 12-hour shifts).
