Responsibilities
- Independently manage the technical aspects of implanted cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, implanted loop recorders) in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Perform device interrogations, noninvasive testing, and programming within scope, document findings in the EMR, and communicate results to the care team.
- Monitor patient status before and after device-related procedures; provide peri-procedural care and safety oversight.
- Maintain clinical knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiovascular physiology, and device function; apply sterile technique and infection control practices.
- Educate patients on device care, safety considerations, and follow-up expectations; coordinate scheduling of device checks and ongoing clinic visits.
- Collaborate with cardiology/EP team to ensure seamless care, proper documentation, and adherence to clinical protocols.
Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing with ability to practice in the United States (license on file at submission per job notes).
- BLS certification.
- Pacemaker/ICD Technician program or equivalent job experience.
- EPIC experience within the last 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac rhythm management, cardiac devices, and cardiovascular physiology.
- Ability to work in an outpatient device clinic environment; Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call and no weekend requirements.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assignment location.
- Minimum adult patient population experience (18+).
